How do you get the musty smell out of frabric furniture???

I have tried everything! Nothing works. what should i use to get rid of the musty smell? This type of fabric cannot be shampooed.

Have you tried dried carpet cleaning granules?  I buy a lot of antiques and vintage furniture and it works every time to clean and eliminate odors on upholstery.  Both Capture and Resolve make them and they are easy to use.  Simply spread the granules, agitate with a soft brush into the fiber, allow to sit for 24 hours and dry, then vacuum off the excess.  The key is to treat every surface that is upholstered, including the sides, back (requires turning the sofa on its back) under the cushions, etc.

have you tried Febreze?

If your looking for a natural solution then plain vodka just spray on the fabric and you could add some essential oil to the vodka this does work well it wont damage the fabric at all I use this because I cant stand the smell of febreze
