How do you get the remote on slingplayer to work???

I'm using slingplayer, which is the software for the slingbox, and I cannot use the remote control feature to change channels and stuff. HELPPPP PLEASE!!!! thank you

  1. hold in the mode button for 3 seconds,and it should work
