How do you get the seeds out of sunflowers?

Question

I live in an English basement apartment.My parents are the landlords and they said I am free to have lawn decorations and a container garden as long as it stays by my front and back stairwell.

I plan on having a container garden next year with flowers,fruits,veggies,and plants.

I want to grow 2 species of dwarf sunflowers.The Sunspot and Teddy Bear species grow small and can fit in pots.How do you get the seeds out of sunflowers?

When the growing season is over, cut off the flowers and let them dry.
