  1. Open as many windows as possible and doors.Spray   odor      out and use a de humidifier if possible.do this for several days.

  2. Light some candles. Put a scented candle in each room, like cinnamon apple, vanilla or even lavender. Light each one and hang out for an hour or so, just to keep an eye on the candles. Another choice is to spray with a scented spray. Keeping the windows open will bring in the fresh air.

  3. If you don't mind the expense and the clean up, you can spread coffee around.  We used that trick for years for a lot of things, including old refrigerators after cleaning them up.  We still do it a lot in our old musty basement.

Also, when I was a truck driver, I would buy a can of coffee and spread it in my trailer after hauling fish or hanging meat.  After a few hours the coffee would absorb the odors and I could sweep it out and hose the trailer out with no lingering odors.

  4. First open all of the windows.  Shampoo all carpets since they hold smell in a lot.  Then you can Sprinkle carpet freshener on the carpets and then vacuum.  Use carpet freshener on a regular basis.

  5. You'll have to wash the walls and floors or shampoo carpets.  Shampoo any upholstery in the home.  Wash windows and curtains.  Keep fresh air circulating through out the house.
