How do you get the smokey eyed look?

I love how people do the smokey eyed look with their make-up! i have tried it so many times but always looked like an idiot because i havnt got a clue how 2 apply it and what shades go together!

Look for an eyeshadow compact that has 3 colours- white, grey/silver and black. Start with white first, and apply it across the whole of your eye-lid. Then apply the grey/silver to the middle of your eye-lid and work it outwards (not upwards). Finally apply some (not a lot) of black to the outer part of your eye-lids. I find that using a smaller applicator for the black gets the best results, cos you don't want to end up looking too gothic! Add more white to the inner corners if you want a bit more contrast.

If you're confident with eye-liner, apply some to the lower lids and upper lids too if you want high-glam. Finally, finish off with a couple of layers of black mascara on your lashes and that should be you! Gorgeous!

i had the same problem. if you go on youtube there are tutorials just tyoe in smokey eye tutorial. they tell you wat u need aswell
