  1. I don't find that baking soda works very well.

So, instead I went with a fragrance free product called Fridge-It odor absorbers.  I originally bought it for bait cooler which is really stinky.  If it works for that, seems like it would be great for you.  Recommended by a friend for all kinds of odors, I now use it around house - fridge, under sinks, near trash, closets, cabinet and even litter box (cats). It really helps to keep things smelling clean. I love them.

So, suggest you get some of the FRIDGE-IT activated carbon odor absorbers - little purple cube - not the imitations.

You can buy these in kitchen gadget stores or just go direct which is what I do - contact them at customerservice@innofresh.com and ask for order form. You get it right away.

Definitely the way to go. try it.

    Good luck

  2. Fill it with a bleach and water solution and leave it soaking with the lid on over night.

  3. Baking soda.  Open a box and put it in there.

  4. Baking soda is the top homemade remedy I can think of for that. Also use an air freshener that neutralizes odors. Hope I helped!

  5. Put in an open box of baking soda. It will absorb the smell. If that doesn't work, try cleaning it with vinegar.

  6. Baking soda and water paste rubbed all over.  the paste works it into all the nooks and crannies, and the baking soda absorbs all sorts of odors.  after cleaning leave a box of soda in the cooler.
