Ok I changed my car registration stickers today. When I peeled of the old sticker it left behind this sticky clear gunk. I had a few other parking permit stickers that I also took off and its the same story. I tried Windex to get it of...but that didn't work?

Anyone know what will take it off?

  1. goo be gone

  2. GOO GONE WILL DO THE TRICK...

  3. Finger nail polish remover (or any petroleum based solvent) will dissolve this glue, but it may also damage the paint. If the stickers were on chrome or glass, no problem. I personally use cigarette lighter fluid for this purpose.

  4. Goo Be Gone or something simaliar works great. Just make sure you get all the excess off and give it plenty of time to dry before putting the new sticker on, otherwise it won't stick.

  5. rag and rubbing alcohol

  6. There is a wonderful inexpensive material called GOO Gone!! It is very easy! Just add a few drops to the sticky area and it will pull it right off with no effort! You should be able to find it at Wal-Mart any drug store or Lowes/Home depot, Maybe even some grocery stores! I hope that this is helpful!
