  1. A ring as in a wedding ring? Put some water into a graduated cylinder and read the volume. Put the ring in and read the new volume. Difference is the volume.

  2. Subtract the vol of the internal cylinder from the external.

    V=1/3 (pi)r2h for a cylinder

    If external r is E, and internal I...eq reduces to 1/3(pi)h (E2-I2)

    No pi symbol on my keyboard, and the 2's are squares...lol

  3. mathematically, it's the volume of the outer cylinder (ignoring the hole) minus the inner cylinder (pi r squared x height)
