Theres a ferry between Emden and Borkum.

The company that operates the ferries is called AG EMS, above link leads to their timetable (in german).You can choose between catamaran and car ferry (Autofähre).Take the ferry (cheaper) but don't bring a car.You need special permission to drive a car on Borkum, which you are unlikely to get.

As eeliko says is ok. But you can go by ferry from Emshaven/Netherlands. Its cheaper. You can take your car. There are different zones where you can drive or not. If you book an apartment and you take much "stuff" with you it may be a good idea to your car with you. But its not cheap.Try the website www.borkum.de
