How do you get to be a level higher than 1 on Yahoo Answers?

you need to reach 250 points or more to get to level 2:

To quickly gain more points, keep on answering questions! but only to questions you actually know the answers to. If the asker likes your answer and picks you best, you get 10 points! Keep building up those best answers and you'll be at a level higher than level 1 in no time!

erm answer questions... 2 points for an answer... 10 for a best answer... and asking questions costs you 5 points/question...

There are tiers by points for your level. Go to your profile and click on the number of your level (1) under your picture. It should take you to the chart for moving up!

You haven't TRIED very hard... instead of constantly ASKING questions... which just takes points away from you... try ANSWERING some questions... those count 2 points each and 10 points for a best answer.

Answer questions.  A lot of questions.  You can check how many points you need to be on level 2.  You get 2 points per question answered, 10 points if someone picks your answer as the best and you lose 5 points if you ask a question.  Thanks, you just earned me 2 points.

Each time you answer a question -- you make 2 points

each time you ask a question -- you loose 5 points

(even though you CAN re-coup 3 of THOSE points by choosing a "Best Of" answer for your question)

Once you have reached 250 points -- you will be at Level 2

You will have a marked increase in the number of answers you are able to do each day --- and, you will be able to VOTE thumbs up or down on posts that you agree or disagree with !!  

Once you get to Level 5 -- you are allowed the freedom of unlimited answers and questions each day --- and you will be able to "run amuck" in the Y-A !!!!

I see that you've been here for 6 months --- so, hopefully you are getting to "know your way around" at least a bit by now --- and, I can't actually say -- welcome TO Yahoo Answers --- but, now you know ---- answer those questions --- get those 250 points and --- start voting !!!

answer peoples questions! :D  every time you answer a question or vote for a best answer you get points.  everytime you ask a question you lose points.

I have just done it. You have to reach 250 points. You get 2 points for answering a question and 5 points if you are chosen as the best answer. I am on level 2 but the only difference appears to be that I can vote for a best answer (on the thumbs up and thumbs down below the answer)

Keep answering questions and try to get the best answer you will get 10points for;also go to undecided answers and vote you wil get a point for it too. just going to the site will earn you a point so go for it
