If you are part of the MOD you might be able to get a cheap flight out there, or if you are married to someone serving on the Falkland Isles you may also be entitled to a cheap flight on the military plane - apparently this can cost as little as £60, but you need to fulfill certain criteria, and you may get bumped off the flight at the last minute if the seat is needed for MOD business.

If you are not associated with the MOD, you can still fly on the MOD plane, but it costs ALOT!  Like over £1000 I think.

Alternatively, you can fly via somewhere else in South America, but this would also be very expensive.

i went to the falklands just after the war in 1982 we had to go 10 days on a ship but they have an airport now so you should be able to fly down
