Ok, I really goofed the other night and burnt noodles to a black gooey crisp on the bottom of my pressure cooker. So for the past two days I have soaked my pot in hot water with some liquid dish detergent and tried scrubbing it but it doesn't look like I've even touched it at all! Do you have any tips how to get this off a little more easily? Oh, and I don't have a dish washer, so I can't try that. Thanks!

  1. I've always found it remarkably easy to put just enough water in the cooker to cover the nasty bit, put in about 3-5 drops of dish washing liquid, then turn the cooker up to high. When the water starts to simmer, gently stir around with a wooden or plastic spoon rubbing the gunk off the pan. This will get most of the gunk out, the rest you'll need to scrub out while the insert is still warm.

  2. I use baking soda and water.  Boil it up and let it sit a while.  It should come out pretty easy.

  3. try boiling the pot in coca cola

  4. Try boiling water in the pot with salt, it should come off right away Good Luck

  5. A dish washer wouldn't help anyway.  Scrape as much as you can using a teaspoon and scrub with a steel wool soap pad until clean.  It happens to most of us at one time or another.

  6. Is it a very expensive pan? one you use allot (pressure cooker for noodles? fool) anyhoo - chuck it!!

No I dunno - steep it (Scottish word, maybe) in boiling water with salt, might lift it. If not, well, yer fooked - bin it

  7. boil hot water in the pot, get a spoon and bang around in the pot. scrape, hammer, persuade those naughty noodles!
