I bought a JVC Everio HDD camcorder today

<60 GB, Black

I've recorded some things with it but I can't figure out how to transfer the video from the camcorder to the computer... does anyone know how?

I already plugged in the USB port and everything... but when i went to search through the camcorder it showed no videos that i recorded... PLEASE HELP!

 1. You cannot connect a camcorder to a mac via USB. You MUST use firewire. Your MacBook has a 6 pin firewire port on it. On your specific camcorder, the dock has a 4 pin firewire port labeled "DV out". You need a cable that is 6 pin to 4 pin. If you don't have the cable, I suggest going to Target. They have a really cheap cable for $12 or so that is a 6 foot 6 pin firewire cable that comes with two 6->4 pin converters. If you go to an electronics store you will get ripped off.
