How do you get videos from your camera onto your computer?

My friend and I started a show and my friend want's to see it. So how do I get the video from my camera, to my computer, and sent to someone in an e-mail?

If its a camcorder you'll need a firewire to connect the camcorder to the computer and capture software like windows movie maker (in Accessories).  If its a camera you plug in your SD card into the computer and the file should be there.  Once you've captured it, it will be an .avi file that you can attach to an email.
