How do you get wi-fi to work underground on Pokemon Diamond??

I have my wi-fi connection working but when I'm underground it isn't connected. How do I get it to connect when I'm underground??

in diamond and pearl you currently can only use local wireless mode (the thing where you have to be within about 30 feet, without obstacles in the way) for most things, the only internet wifi available is everything you find under the poke center , from there you exchange friend codes and other things.

also there are two wifi , friendcode-less things for you to do

the global trade station(watch out for hacked lvl 100 pokemon)

which can be found in jubilife city

and the battle tower, which is in the "fight area" after the elete 4

if you go to the wifi section of there you get to battle random people for ranks and such, just try it out you may like it!

as for underground, if you want spiritomb, the 25 ish ppl u gotta talk to after putting the odd keystone in the broken well(explained well on gamefaqs.com) you can actually talk to one person(like a friend) then leave underground then talk to again , repeat and it keeps counting as a new person =)

The underground in diamond and pearl is only short distance wireless, so wi-fi won't work. It is rumored that platinum, the next pokemon game, is going to have wi-fi underground as well as other new things, but for now you need to be with someone close by to meet them in the underground.
