How do you get yogurt stains out of carpet?

Question

I was eating strawberry yogurt, and was mostly finished, but had to get up to do something so I put it on the floor. That night, I found a hard and sticky puddle of yogurt where the cup had been. I tried scrubbing it with water, but I don't know what else to do.

Any suggestions?

soak with warm soapy water or borrow a friends steam cleaner or steam carpet cleaner
