I sorta have a scene mullet, but i wanna get my hair razored, but to do that i would have to lose the length of my hair.

Is it possible to just razor the ends to get more texture and a jagged look instead of just straight across like it is with scissors?

i want the ends to sort of look like this-

what would be the best razor to use?

how would you go about doing it if you only wanted the ends of each layer razored?

Im not doing it myself, but i wanna know what im talking about so when i get it done the stylist knows what i want and doesnt do a crappy job.

The most clear and detailed i will pick as best answer!

THANKS SO MUCH! =D

  1. Well your stylist will use a straight razor.. or maybe what they call a carving comb depending on what tecnique she uses.

Your hair can definately be textured with a razor easily without taking off any of your length.. I use a technigue some stylist called spanking... i know is sounds crazy and like i am trying make you sound like an idiot  but i am serious LOL but basically use take small sections of hair and twist them and just kinda hit them with the razor it creates texture without taking any of the length off

It can also be done the same way with shears by what they call splintering it is just using the tip ends of your shears and just snipping into the twist..

Point cutting would also help give you that effect

Just talk to her about the look you want not just to give you a razor cut... tell her about how you want it to look... I am sure the stylist you go to will have a technique of her own to get you the look you desire

I sometimes have ppl come in and tell me they want there hair too look all choppy like a 2 yr old cut it with safety scissors or with a steak knife LOL

  2. hi.. take the pic to a salon and get it done..
