  1. You sit to the trot and then you kick your horse on the outside intal it goes into a canter

  2. Well i ride western and all i do is say canter and depending on the horse I might have to give him a little kick to get him to canter but then on some horses all you do is say canter and they will canter but it also depends on how the horse is trained but most likely you will just have to say canter and maybey give the horse a little kick

    hope i helped

  3. all my horses are taught to canter from a walk because they are not asked to canter from the trot at the shows... my horses canter by tipping there head to the rail. bump outside rein 3 times, squeeze outside leg, kiss and say canter.

some of my hunters canter from the trot when asked.... when trotting... tip to the outside squez outside leg and say canter.

    good luck

  4. Make sure your horse is properly warmed up. You have to be in sitting trot, wait until you get to a corner , then press your outside leg behind the girth and press with your leg. When the horse canters make sure to sit deep into the saddle.

Make sure you never use the rains for balance:), and if your learning to canter always have someone qualified to guide you.

    Good luck:).
