How do you get your iPod Touch to stop repeating?

My iPod Touch continues to repeat songs, and I always have to press the 'next' button to go to the next song. How do I stop this?

  1. tap the album art, a bar will come down showing the song progress, next to it are the repeat and shuffle options.
