  1. I live in Texas and I'm not familiar with the law, but you should have a school headquarters even if you are homeschooled. Ask your parents what organization is in charge of your homeschooling (like providing your text books). You should be able to get the form from them to take to the DMV with you.

  2. I think there are private driving schools and instructors who can give you the documentation you need once you take some lessons with them. Check your local yellow pages for driving schools

  3. I would think that going to your local DOT and asking them will help..... In Wisconsin, Drivers Ed is no longer taught in school.... we parents have to shell out 700 bucks for a 8 week class in the summer,( when they reach the age they can drive) and then drive/ride along with them and log the hrs we spent driving with our kids (in our own cars), Then they have to pass the Written and Road test at the Dept. Of Transportation, and pay 100 bucks, and hope they pass, because if they don't.... its $100 every time they go back for another road test.... (don't Worry , My kids have to pay half of the whole darn thing!! )  So I think every State is Different.... Just check it out!! And also when fist getting their license here they can only drive with one other person in the car and must be off the street at a certain hour!!! till i think they are 18!!!

  4. It's called "parent taught driving education."

The Parent Taught Driver Education Program is available to teenagers between the ages of 14 and 17. However, before the instructor (parent, stepparent, grandparent, step-grandparent, foster parent or legal guardian) begins teaching this course, the instructor must have a valid TEXAS driver license for the preceding three years. Active US military personnel and their spouse may participate as instructors if they hold a valid license from their state of permanent residence or last duty station for the preceding three years..

You can read all about it here:  http://www.txdps.state.tx.us/administrat...

  5. Dude.   If you're homeschooled, your mother didn't do a good job teaching you how to problem solve.

Go to the Texas Department of Public Safety, and research the how to get a license thing.  Homeschooling IS addressed there.   Homeschooling is QUITE popular in Texas, especially the more rural areas.

You still can't do it without her permission, though, until you're 18.
