im turning 15 in 2 weeks and can you tell me step by step on how to get my permit and then license THANKS. I live in orange county

depending on where you live, but most states only issue permits to people 16 years of age and older.

in order to get your permit, you go to the nearest DMV where you can get a book to study for the permit test first. once you study that book, and are pretty confident that you know mostly everything in it, you will be ready to take the permit test. this test is issued at your nearest DMV as well. This test is a 20 multiple choice question test that consists of general questions about signs and road knowledge. If you get 14 of these 20 questions correct, you will pass the test and be issued a certificate in place of your permit. In 2 weeks from that time, you will receive your permit ID in the mail.

After that, you have to register at a driving school for lessons in order to receive your license. The driving school will notify you what you need to know and teach you how to drive in order to take the road test that you need to pass in order to get your license.
