How do you get your sky remote to link into your TV?

How do you set up your Sky+ remote to work the volume etc on your TV?

You have to programme your sky remote to your tv!

to do this you need to go into sky interactive and on the customer support section you will find instructions!! When you find the code for you make of tv,  you have to press certain buttons on your sky remote to enable it!

Alternatively you can go to www.satelliteonline.co.uk

All makes of tv are on there and instructions on how to programme your remote!

i have the same problem i have to use 2 controls yet only use one for the volume!!

You need to know the codes for your make of TV. Personally I dont bother just use tv remote as well.But if you do want to know, just give sky a ring and ask them.

Tell Me the tv brand and model number and I will talk You through it. Don't ring sky, that just costs money. I have the instructions on the desk right now.

Edit: Turn on tv and sky box.

press tv on the sky control.

Hold select and the red key together for about 2 seconds til the light on the remote flashes twice.

Press tv again.

key in the number 0159, the light should flash twice, if not try number again.

Press the standby key on your remote control. If the tv switches off, press select. The light on the remote should flash twice. If the tv doesn't switch off, press tv then standby. Keep doing this until the tv turns off, then press select. It should now be linked.
