I will be flying with my two-year-old next week and it will be around her naptime. Once we get to our destination, it will be too late for her to take a nap(and she probably wouldn't anyway). The flight is only 2 1/2 hours and I'm sure I could keep her busy for that time, but I want her to get her rest. I don't want any suggestions like Benadryl, because I don't want to drug her. I was wondering if chamomile tea works. It doesn't make me sleepy, but has anyone given it to their children and succesfully made them sleep? Natural suggestions only please!

  3. Just provide her with the opportunity to sleep on the plane, but she might not, and thats OK

  4. Chamomile does work..and I suggst that you put her pyjamas on as soon as you get on the plane....et her have the excitement for half an hour and then say  it is time to sleep...tell her a story and tuck her up as best you can...give her warm milk....she might associate the pyjamas with sleep and just nod off.
