Question:

How do you get yourself to sleep?

i usually read a book before going to bed. however, it's not working tonight.

  1. A glass of milk while reading a very exciting book. Why exciting? So that you keep on turning the pages until your eyes are so droopy that you can no longer bear to keep them opened... keeps your thoughs focued and a surefire way to induce sleep. Well, at least for me...

  4. I don't force myself to sleep. I surf the internet till my eyes get tired and sleepy.

  5. Here are my suggestions:

    * Read a  very boring book. After  reading the first page,you will surely yawn, before you finish  the second page, you are already asleep.

    *It it's not working, try counting  carabao, like this: one carabao, two carabao, three carabao.....

    * Count the  lines on the ceiling. If there are lizards, shift the counting to lizards. It's much  better.

    * If  the floor of your bedroom is made of tiles with designs, study the lines and count how many squares, triangles, and other shapes.

    * if it still not working, try hot drinks (milk/choco drinks).

    * it all fails, try beer, tequila, or whatever.


  6. I turn on the TV to any infomercial. First 5 minutes and I'm done for. Works everytime.

    although i don't want to sound sacrilegious, reading the bible works for me too.  

  10. i just stay up late then watch dvd movie in bed, set the tv in 30 min sleep timer, before i reach half of the timer i'm already asleep.

  11. Try self hypnosis, go through the different parts of your body mentally relaxing them as you go. Then imagine a wonderful relaxing place maybe the beach on the sand with the sun, maybe lying on the beach. or by a stream somewhere..

    I find a hypnosis relaxation CD works really well.. I use them.. there are some specific ones for sleep as well and you can find one for sleep on that site as well.

    Then remember simple things like diet and exercise. No caffeine, sugar etc before bed. Get exercise in the day..

  15. When doing my laundry in the dead of night, using the traditional method of two hands, will not yield the desired end of tiring myself to sleep,  I go to my bed and transport myself in this other dimension.

    Always, always there are the naked girls in the beach.   Playing volley ball.   And I'm it.

  16. Get a bottle of San Miguel Grande, make sure you're lying down on the bed. Open it but don't drink it yet. With a count of 3 smash the bottle on your head real hard that the bottle will brake in pieces. Presto by the time you get done reading this answer you are halfway to the moon!!!!!

  17. Ask someone to give you a nice back rub. My husband always do that to me when i have a hard time going to sleep.  

  18. i usually listen to emllow/ballad music...or sometimes i just walk around our village and when tires i easily got to sleep..
