  1. You don't.  Your hamster will clean itself.  Never give it a bath.

  2. Uh hi I wrote this question and im on my other account keep in mind We're in a classroom !

  3. I just used warm water and baby shampoo. Make sure you keep it out of their eyes and rinse it off really well or it can get a rash.

  4. you can't,i mean you can't give it a water bath, you have to give it a sand bath, water baths can kill your hamster easily.hamster should not have a water bath in their life time.

get some sand in a bowl, put the hamster in,let it bathe it self.

    can you help me?

  5. Actually hamsters dont need baths. They bathe themselves but if you do give it a bath DO NOT GIVE IT A WATER BATH! GIVE IT A SAND BATH!

  6. warm water in sink and wash like any other animal

  7. i dont think it is a good idea to give youre hamster a bath it may remove  oils in its fur which are needed and the smell will always be there so dont constantly wash him trying to get rid of the smell (if thats what youre trying to do) if you insist upon giving him a bath buy some dust made for chinchillas and have him role around in that for a couple of minutes it is a much safer alternative (it also may be stressful on the poor little guy)

  8. why are there people above me saying it is okay to give a hamster a bath?? you are NEVER supposed to give a hamster a bath.  thats how mine died.  I guess your teacher doesnt know that much because baths is what causes resperatory problems and hair loss.

  9. Is there a reason as to why you think the hamster needs a bath?? Does it smell? If it smells you just need to clean the cage more often.  A hamster's cage should be cleaned at least once a week.  Other than that hamsters clean themselves so they really don't need bath's and really shouldn't have them.  They are tiny animals and can get cold fast.

  10. DO NOT put water on the hamster. They are highly susceptible to colds and can die easily from a simple bath. If the hamster needs to get clean you can take a small bowl of chinchilla sand(NOT DUST) and put it in the cage for a short period of time.

  11. Bathing removes natural and oils from the hamster’s coat, which can cause the hamster to catch a cold and die.

Bathing should only be done in exceptional conditions like if your hamster has something toxis on its fur. A hamster will clean itself if it is dirty and the substance is non-toxic. Chinchilla sand will keep the coat clean and grease free. I have a Chinchilla and a hamster so I use bath sand for both of them. I got a hamster bath at petsmart. Also if you want the scent I use special vanilla bean dust bath! Hope this helped!

  12. A hamster should never be washed, since hamsters keep themselves clean.  If you bath a hamster, it would catch a cold and die.

Hamsters have their own natural oils to maintain the condition of their fur and will spend a long time grooming. So I would not recommend bathing as they will not enjoy it and it may make the hamser's fur look worse.

  13. I had a hamster when I was younger, and I would give it baths when it was hot outside to cool it off.

Just get a shallow bowl of water. Make sure there is just like a layer of water in it, because you don't want the little hamster to drown!

Then just get a damp rag and wipe the hamster carefully.

Some people use soap when they want their hamster REALLY clean. Just be careful not to get the soap in it's eyes.

    Hope I helped!

    GOOD LUCK!

  14. do not put them in water, just get some chinchilla bath sand and put some in a bowl, then let him run around in it for 30 minutes, if it does not work take a warm damp cloth and pet him with it, trust me putting him in water is very stressful and could make him sick

  15. Wait very carefully until the hamster goes to take a drink...then quickly squeeze the bottle as hard as you can!! Works like a charm
