  1. typically you don't need to bathe snakes. If you provide them w/ a large enough bowl, they will soak whenever necessary. Shedding problems or mite problems are the only times you really need to bathe your snake and in that case, you would fill a enclosure or tank w/ luke warm water but leave enough empty space that the snake will not drown and then you place the snake in, put the top on and keep a good eye on it.

  2. you could get a sponge put it in water and softly stroke it

  3. If he's crawled in his f***s, etc., you can put him in the tub (or large plastic container, etc) filled with an inch or two of luke warm water and gently rub him clean with a paper towel or thin wash cloth.  Pat him dry with paper towels before returning him to his habitat.

If he's not soaking before a shed, you can get a bucket or box-type container with lid, drill holes on the top and lid from the inside to the outside (so there is nothing sharp for him to rub his nose on).  Fill it with enough luke warm water to just cover the snake (not deep, don't float/drown him) and let him soak for 15-20 min.  As above, dry him and return him to his habitat.

During the pre-shed and shed period, you should mist the tank with a bottle or cool steam steamer and raise the humidity about 10%.

Enjoy your snake, and I hope this has been helpful.

  4. Honestly most people put some type of a bucket into their areas so they can "clean" when needed. If you want to do it, just add a small amount of luke warm/cold water and let them "play" in it. Don't get it too hot or cold, since they can't regulate their temperature.

  5. I have a few options. He has a water bowl in his tank... he washes himself in there. Or i take him outside to the fountain out there... he likes it cause it is warm and in the sun. or i put him in my bathtub. he likes either way. But when i put him in the fountain outside i make sure I wash him off with my tub water, the fountain has alot of chlorine inside of it. he smells if i dont wash him off.!

NEVER USE SOAP ON A SNAKE!
