I would like to know how do you go about becoming a PE(physical education) teacher? I want to work with kids in the school and I am interested in becoming either a teacher teaching a specific subject, or becoming a PE teacher helping kids get into shape and being healthy and getting them involved in fun activities. How can I go about doing this for the PE teacher career and what kind of degree can I pursue that will enable me to do this? I want to work with kids and help them grow to be intelligent citizens of the community and know in my heart that I helped them achieve that status. I hope any teachers or anyone working within the school system can help me with this. Thank you and have a great weekend!

  1. Look for a school that offers a bachelor's degree in physical education and good luck!

  2. Pursue a degree in being perverted. Thats the most common degree among PE teachers.

  3. go to a college and ask a counselor. they will have a list of all the classes you need to become a PE teacher.

  4. When you go to college you'll need to major in education with a concentration on physical education. You'll need to take anatomy, physiology and similar classes. You'll also need to take the mainstream education classes. Several of these classes may be what are called "methods" classes in which you go to a school and learn by doing. Then, you'll have an entire semester/quarter in which you do your student teaching. Assuming you complete this successfully you'll earn your teaching "certificate," which will allow you to teach in your state and others that share certificate recognition.

  5. Get a Teaching degree with a major in Physical Education.  Most uni's should offer this
