How do you go about deciding what to order from the menu when you go to Olive Garden,Carrabba's,Macaron...

I&#039;d try something I can&#039;t make at home or something that is new and different.  I go with trying to pick out the meat or sea food I want and then seeing if I can find  a dish that prepares it with ingredients I like.  No Alfredo sauce.

I don&#039;t order spaghetti, but my husband does.  Things like sun dried tomatoes, mozzarella cheese, pine nuts are what I look for.

I first decide what I want to eat. Like chicken, seafood, pasta, or salad.  Then I look at the choices, and decide if I want cheesy, tomato based, or garden veggies, then I ask the server what the heck the best chicken, steak, or veggie item on the menu is.

Then i order that.

Carrabba&#039;s is better than Olive Garden def.

Never been to MacaroniGril, don&#039;t even now where one is.

Try something new.  Or order something you wouldn&#039;t be able to make at home.

First I punch myself in the face, to make sure it&#039;s not a bad dream. Then, if I don&#039;t wake up in a cold sweat, I assume that someone has drugged me and forced me to eat at one of these restaurants against my will. In the unlikely event that I actually am there of my own volition, I order food that is simple.

Don&#039;t get fancy at chain restaurants. The quality of ingredients generally isn&#039;t good enough for it to taste how it should, and the cooks generally either aren&#039;t talented enough to pull it off properly, or just don&#039;t give a c**p.

My rule of thumb is, the more a place relies on gimmicks to pull in customers, the less I want to eat there.
