  1. There is nothing *you* can do. It is all up to your friend and the first question is quite simply, can she afford to study in the U.S. and because she will be an international student her tuition will double if not triple what you pay. She will be looking at $18,000 - $45,0000 a year.

Anyway beyond the finances she would need to decide what school and what major she wants to study and then simply look at the university's website and look for the admission as an international student section and there she will find all that she needs to know about applying to that university.

If accepted she will then need to pay the SEVIS fee and then schedule an interview at the U.S. Embassy in her country of residence for an F1 visa.

  2. first of all your friend needs to figure out what course or degree she needs to go in for and which area/state she wants to be in, then do online search for the universities accordingly. All the universities clearly specify their requirements for international students on their websites. This includes all the documentation and other things.

Be sure to start with the process as early as you can as this can take a long time. Universities usually recommend the students to start with the process 6 months- 1 year before the intended semester of study.

    I hope I helped.
