I have been wanting to try barefooting for awhile now, I am 150 pounds and I go behind a boat at roughly 35 miles per hour, is this correct to get off the ski? And how do I do it without catching an edge and hurting myself?

  1. just go off the bar on the boat to start off with speed needs to be 40 mph+

  2. if you have double boots it will be tough. In theory you should be able to pull your back foot out and place it in the water. put pressure on it then lift the front foot up and put it on the water, balancing the weight on both feet.. I've never been able to do it. I sit on a knee board and plant my feet. when the boat gets up to speed once the feet touch, your rear will lift up and the board will stay behind. don't look down to watch the board. use neoprene shorts or you'll be able to call your shorts dental floss!
