How do you go to the bathroom with a mermaid style wedding dress on??

I know you have help, but with a mermaid style dress, it doesn't shimmy up over my hips. I'm clueless as to what to do, just hoping i don't have to take it off everytime.

Mermaid style dresses are beautiful!!! Unfortunately, that's the only side effect! I wore one and I tried to shimmy it up and stretched the inseam!!! It was horrible! My suggestion is to take a couple of your bridesmaids (or the maid of honor and a mom) and take the whole thing off, do your duty, and put it back on. I know it sux, but you'd rather do it that way than ruin your dress (which must be beautiful!!!)...

I would make sure you go to the bathroom before putting the dress on .. then maybe bringing a change into reception outfit and wear your dress through like the 1st dance then go change into a cute more flexible party dress.

Well, you can always wear a Depends. lol  No seriously, you really would have to limit the amount you drink, work yourself out of it every time, or select a dress that would be a bit easier to maneuver.

You have a concealed zipper put on the inside so when you want to go just unzip.

How big is it? Mermaid skirts are often fairly simple (i.e. not overly puffy). It might be easier just to shimmy out of the entire dress when you need to go. This suggestion combines well with the earlier one of not drinking a lot during the day.

Sorry to suggest this, but it depends on how long your ceremony is.  Try not to drink too much liquid up to a day before.  Stay hydrated, but don't over do it!  Make sure you clean yourself out RIGHT before you but your dress on.  If the ceremony is going to be over eight hours, think about a diaper...but I'm guessing you'll be able to hold it!

whatever you do, do not stop drinking throughout the day! that is a mistake most brides make, drink plenty of water! you may just have to take the dress off to use teh restroom. take a small bathroom rug with you and hide it in the restroom you will be using, and put it on the floor when you take your dress off...to keep it cleaner. there is not much more you can do other then that.   i hope you are really close to you bridesmaids....and remind your man later that he did say for better or for worse! good luck! and have fun!!!
