How do you go up in rank faster in the Military?

I want to be able to join and rise up in rank really quick. I have a College degree and I want to join the Military Police. I also want to be able to go up in rank. I know i can go in as a Military officer but I want to be able to do more then that.

Talk to a recruiter and ask about OCS. To gain rank, be very good at your job, take every training/schooling opportunity you can grab, and show that you are ready for additional responsibilities.

Officer ranks are political. Get in close with your congressmen and your chain of command.

Get your degree, keep advancing your education on your own after your in, participate in the community, do your job well, maintain your personal appearance, stay physically fit, take on high profile duties that no one really wants to do...  

...After doing all of this, make sure your superiors know you are doing all of this when they write your evaluations.  Good evals are the best route for advancement.  It is your overall performance on and off the job that is looked at for promotions.

Work on your spelling and grammar.  Don't post to forums that might be read by your future bosses using names like "Kingofdrifters."  Don't assume that you deserve to get promoted.

In reality, as a leader of Soldiers, your Soldiers will make or break your career.

If you foster a supportive, positive command climate, your Soldiers will do the right things, and your ratings will reflect that.

If you are inconsiderate and arrogant, your Soldiers will not respect you, and will do stupid stuff like go out and drive drunk - which reflects badly on you.

Does command still sound like a good idea?

Get education, civilian and military. become proficient as a MP. High Physical Fitness points. Weapons qualification.also Believe what you live and live what you believe.  The rest will take care of it's self, most of all, "Be Motivated"
