  1. It depends on where you live. Find a homeschool support group for your state (province, country, whatever the case may be) and ask them how it works.

  2. It really depends on how you are being home schooled. The answers you need are here

  3. the state either accepts their courses and grants one or the system you use (ABeka, Penn Foster) offers an accredited diploma or you have to go through the GED process.

    This should answer your question.

  5. you have to take tests and send them in.

  6. Your parents simply write one for you. Keep track of all books and curriculum you use. Put together a portfolio and a transcript. This is a great site that has free printable forms to help you out:

You submit that, as well as your SAT and ACT scores when applying for college. You will also have to take college entry tests of course.

Colleges have become very willing to take homeschoolers, even seeking them out.

    Good Luck

  7. You fulfill the requirements that your parents set down for you (which generally requires *at least* the minimum set down by the state), and they complete both your transcript and diploma.  There is no rule that says that either has to be "accredited" - colleges don't really care.  (Well, the UC system does, but they're really the only ones, and there are ways to get around that.)

You don't have to take your GED, in most states you don't have to send anything in - you just complete your requirements (core and elective credits) and graduate.

Many areas do have homeschool graduation ceremonies that you can take part in - you can walk with other homeschool kids that are graduating at the same time.  It tends to be a small world, so chances are you would know many of them from co op, concurrent enrollment, clubs, classes, etc.

    Hope that helps!
