How do you grow a crystal garden for a science project?

Well you can get some water, put a lot of sugar in it and I do mean a lot! Boil it for a long while and stir it forever never letting it rest.

Put it in a jar and leave it in a cabinet. After about 7 days you should have a sugar crystals all over the bottom and if you put a stick coated with sugar you should also have a sugar crystal stick....yum.

Or you can get one of those pet crystal maker kits......Sense you said garden I figured the candy sugar crystal would be better because you can grow a then layer of crystal to work with. Will not get that big though.
