Anyone got any little trick or secret product they use on the top of their snowboards to keep the d**n snow from building up or sticking to it?

It's not so much that I mind having snow on it. It's just heavy on the knee when I'm on the lifts, especially when it freezes.

  1. IDK what these people are talking about. I get snow caked on my board too, it really bothers mean when I'm about to get in the car, I usually slide it across the wood gate a few times.

  2. When you'r on the lift hold it up sideways and bang on it with your foot, the snow should slide off.

  3. well.. u can always stop and jump and stuff.. then keep going.. but idk wat to say.. but it kinda brushes off as ur going down the hill.

  4. dude you dont need to buy any product. how much snow is sticking? the easiest and most effective thing to do believe it or not is to reach down and wipe it off or just stomp your board around when only one foot is strapped in.

  5. Snow on top of the board is a mark of honour.

  6. When you're on the lift line, you could do some tail slaps and the looser areas should come off.  I've never tried anything else, and from what the other users said, nothing really works well.  The only thing that really works is just scraping it off with your fingers.

  7. I've never tried it but I imagine that a product like Rain-X or Rain Away (used to make water run off car windows faster) would help that.

I usually just brush it all off when I get onto the lift.

  8. Easy solution, leave it inside, go skiing instead.

  9. I've tried a number of things: Turtle wax (and other car waxes), Pledge, Rain-X.  Nothing seems to work effectively.  I only get snow sticking in certain weather conditions, and when that happens nothing works.  The best results were with Lemon Pledge: it smells nice too!
