How do you hand sew a "dimple" in a letter pillow?

  1. I'm not quite sure what a "dimple" is, but I'm guessing it's just a depression?  If so, just sew through the entire pillow from front to back with a few handstitches, and then tie off.  Sort of like tufting upholstery.  Buttons optional.
