How do you hand wash clothes?

i dont have a dryer or washing machine and we want to start hand washing some of our clothes so we dont have to take everything to the laundrymat..

could anyone help me out?

i need to just wash jeans, underwear and tshirts..

nothing really delicate..

i need to know how to hand wash and then how to dry, we have a clothes line!

The standard way to hand-wash clothes: run warm water into the sink or tub; add a small amount of detergent, and swish to mix or dissolve. Then add the clothes and let them soak 3 to 5 minutes. (Don't crowd them.)The soaking loosens a lot of soil, so you spend less of your own effort. After soil has been loosened by the soaking, agitate the clothes by squeezing water through them -- pretty vigorously because it's jeans, underwear, and t-shirts. For nice blouses, be gentle. Rinse twice, because detergent residue attracts dirt.

Before hanging clothes to dry, squeeze out excess water, then roll the item up in a towel. Squeeze to get the moisture out of the clothes and into the towel -- I usually step on it repeatedly. Then you can hang the towel(s) on the line with the other things.

That's it. Don't toss detergent right onto the clothes; let clothes soak; rinse well; blot out water. Those are the things most people don't know.

All you need is Woolite. It works just in case you realize you DO have something delicate anyway. just fill up your sink or a tub and pour in a capful of woolite with your dirty clothes and squish it for a minute with your hands and then let it soak.

well best is to boil hot water and but it into a big bucket an put your cloth in there with nappy san it cleans them and leave there for while and you can sruc them with a washer or a bruch for jeans but most the time they will just wash out with the nappy san :D than just hang on the line to dyr :D
