How do you handle panhandlers?

what are some good phrases you use to make them back off?

sometimes i give them money, sometimes i dont. one time i declined giving a man anything, when i drove away i wondered why, he was obviously in a bad way (not holding a sign outside of walmart type).

i bought him a sandwich and went back, he was a very grateful and hungry man.

if they ask me for change there is two things that i'll do depending on my mood. good mood; they ask for change...i'll say, you know i was going to ask you the same thing...whatta you know? bad mood; they ask for change...i'll reach in my pocket and pull out my change look through it and say to them, " why yes i do, thanks for asking. put the change back in my pocket and keep walking. (NOTE; i 'm not someone you'll month off too)

I always feel bad for them

but when im with my mom, she tells them to get a job.

but if im walking to the store or something

and i see a homeless guy asking for money

i give him like a dollar or 2.
