I walked into Saks Fifth Ave to buy a few things, and granted it was in a really upscale part of state, and I'm no celebrity or millionaire, but I really love higher-quality items, and I walked over to these two ladies, and I was nice and said "hi where do I find ..etc"

They both totally ignored me> Then I proceeded to be more audible and ended up getting frustrated and even went "HELLO!?!?!"

They still ignored me, but one of the ladies looked at me partially, with her eyes, and just went "it's over there..." and that was that.

I left, and just rolled my eyes, but after seeing them again when I was walking around they just I don't know,..had this weird inside joke thing they were both participating in, which I obviously was either the butt of, or they were just being jerks.

Either way, I totally let it go and didn't do anything about it but should I have?

This behavior REALLY irritates me and then I realized...wow, 90% of the whole STORE is like that. The others were nicer and were cool people but I mean my god, they were really in general so...I don't even know.

s****. I guess.

What's sad to me is, 1)that these people are SO involved in their own lives that they blatantly couldn't care less about you, 2) they look at you SO SO very intensely like they're trying to read you, figure you out ilke a lab experiment for asking them a SIMPLE COSMETICS question

and 3) they only seem to do business with others who are just like them, and if you're not,

they let it be known.

I hate them!

How do we handle them?

  1. Next time someone blatantly ignores you like that tell them to pull their head out of their ar$e, ignorant toffs.

Why bother with people like that anyway, they only associate with their own types so i say let them at it.

Of course if it had of been me i probably would've belted her with my bag.

  2. Ugh, this happened to me before. I walked into a store when I was sick and I was wearing some basketball shorts, a hoodie, and flip flops. EVERYONE ignored me and when I asked for help, the fled in the opposite direction. Going back three weeks dressed more appropriately in clothes that I had just worn for a ceremony of sorts, everyone rushed to help me.

All I did was tell them "Last time you didn't help me, I don't see why it should be any different."

All that you have to do is get smart with them. Tell them that even though you might not look like someone they want to help, if  they don't help, that's just another part of their paycheck that they don't get. I'd take it up with the store manager.

  3. I ask them once.

If they ignore me, I ask them again while I am standing on their toes.

They don't usually ignore me then.
