They are control freaks. They make you jump through hoop after hoop. They think they have every solution to everyone of your problems even if you don't have one. They can't shut up about themselves. They are snobs. Working for them is a nightmare. You want to choke them, but you can't. What CAN you do? What do you do? How do you handle or manage being around people who are difficult??

  1. If this person is your boss (and they frequently will be) giving your opinion will not be productive.

One small comfort: people who make you miserable while in their presence, are usually miserable 24 hours a day. Pity them.

  2. Ouch . . . and it sounds like this is a work situation so it's not easily avoided.  Please consider reading the book "Dealing with People You Can't Stand" by Dr. Rick Brinkman and Dr. Rick Kirschner.  It helped me deal with a similar situation.  Good luck!

  3. Control freaks should be dealt with honestly and bluntly. Stay calm, they feed on your anger. Speak up, be assertive, and limit your time around them if possible. Always be genuine. If they are going on and on about themselves, calmly smile and excuse yourself from their presence. They will get the hint. If asked, honestly explain your actions. Always keep your emotions in check. If at all possible, and it usually is, try to find something to appreciate about the person and focus on that trait. Try to bring more of that trait out of them when you have to be in their presence.

  4. you tell them what you think about that and more precisely that you don't like them and don't want to hang out with them

dint bother trying to fix them its a waste of time

  5. Some supervisors are horrible at managing people. They have no "people skills" whatsoever. Still, the bottom line is that if you need the job and the pay is good then you have to put up with their micro-management of every little thing.  It helps to take a breath and don't let them push your buttons. Just adopt a relaxed attitude about everything so their comments roll off your back.

Say, "Yes, I see what you mean" and phrases like that and walk away as soon as you're able. If you don't get into it with them, then they'll soon lose interest and focus on someone who gets more upset. Your upset is their payback. Creepy and annoying but usually true!! : /

  6. While you are putting up with this boss, be on the lookout for a better job. Still, a bird in the hand is worth two in the bush.
