How do you hang window treatments around trim? i dont want to nail into the wood is there a stud there?

I don't like to drill holes in the trim either.  There is usually framing around the window, but your wood trim may be on top of it.  If you don't have a stud finder, drill a pilot hole into the drywall.  If it doesn't hit wood, you will need to use an anchor molly to secure your curtain rod.  They go into the drywall and expand behind it so that the weight of the curtain and rod are supported.
