How do you hang your bouquet upside-down?

I just got married last Thursday and we returned home (destination wedding) last night. Everyone has told me to hang my bouquet upside-down and let it dry out, then to spray it with hairspray to preserve it. How do I hang it so it can dry and it won't fall and mess up the flowers?

  1. You tie rope around the stems, then tie that up high somewhere. How on earth did you get your bouquet home intact? I kept mine for a few days in the hotel, then had to let it go in the trash!

  2. A pipe cleaner, ribbon, or strong string work well. You just need to tie or wrap one end around the stems, and hang it from some place in your home for a while to let it air dry. I've hung bouquets from a shelf, the light fixture of the guest room, or inside the guest room closest from the bar with the door open. If you feel very sentimental about it, you may want to get it professionally preserved because dried flowers rarely keep their color, and only last a couple years before starting to fall apart. There are sprays, but they only prolong to the inevitable. The Knot has preserving information.

  3. if u have a clothesline, that might work... or just get a hook and hang it on that. easiest way!
