  9. put eggs & water in a pot and boil for 10 minutes.

  10. bring water to a boil. then put the eggs in unless you put them in the water already, and wait 10 minutes before turning the stove off. wait till they cool down before you try to grab them.

  11. Perfect unbroken eggs every time:

Put a metal collapse steamer into a sauce pan with a lid.  Add one inch of water and bring it to a boil.

Put eggs into the steamer and turn the heat down to medium and let that water boil for 13 minutes.

Remove eggs and drop them into ice water for 10-20 minutes.

The end.  Perfect steamed eggs, creamy and wonderful every time.

  12. put an egg, shell and all, in boiling water for like 7 to 10 minutes.

  13. put them in a pan of cold water on a high heat burner. Make sure they are completely covered with water. Bring the water to a boil then reduce the heat to medium and boil them for ten minutes. Any longer they will be difficult to peal. Any less than ten minutes and they will not be done in the center. hope you like them

  14. SEEMS straight forward but there actually is a trick to the perfect hardboiled egg:

    1) put egg in pot, fill pot with luke warm water- enough to cover egg

    2) bring to boil

    3) boil 10 min

    4) drain and enjoy

  15. uhmmm

    Put eggs into boiling water.

And then once boiled, put them on ice.

Seriously, has anyone ever tried google before referring to Yahoo?

  16. boil water in a pot

then boil the eggs (already in the shell) for 10 minutes

take it out of the water

then rinse it off with cold water

    and peel the shell off

then u got ur hardboiled eggs!!!

  17. I just put it in water and boil it for about 30 minutes.

  18. Follow this link:

    Good luck.

  19. put some water on till it starts to boil. place in eggs GENTLY, so they dont crack and let them sit in the boiling water for about 9 minutes. easy!

  20. Bring some water to a boil (enough to fit all eggs without overflowing the pot and make sure the water covers all the eggs)

Put the eggs in, and boil them for 12 minutes watching the pot.

After 12 minutes of boiling take the eggs out and put them into a ready bowl of ice water.

I would immediately peel the eggshells off of the eggs after dunking them in the ice water.

The shells are kind of a pain to get off if you wait too long.

  21. Put them in a pan of cold water, with water covering the eggs by an inch or so.  Make sure eggs are only one layer in the pan.  Add a little salt to the water.

Turn the burner on medium.  Keep watching them.

Wait until the water boils.  You may have to turn the heat down a bit. You want the water to stay boiling.

Boil them for a full five minutes.

Rinse in cold water, peel and you're done.

I've put a link to Wiki with entirely different instructions.  I've been using my method for over 25 years and it works for me and is simple.

If you plan on storing the eggs and using later, it's best to leave them in the shell.  They stay fresher longer that way.  You have to put them in the fridge, of course.

  22. put egg in water  full boil for about 7- 8 min turn water to slow simmer for 5 minutes egg done

  23. Put it in boiling water for more than 10 minutes..

The yolk will turn mushy, and that's when you have hardboiled your eggs.

  24. I've done it the way my mom taught me: cover eggs with water in a pan, bring to a boil, then turn off heat and cover. Let it set for 15 minutes. Rinse in cold water and chill.

They are not likely to crack this way, compared to putting them directly in boiling water.

  25. Be sure to put the eggs into the pot before you put water in it. (or they will break)

Fill the pot up with water and boil the eggs for about 8-10 minutes. Drain water and then put the eggs in the fridge for about 15 minutes or until they are cooled off. Then peel the shell and your done!

  26. just boil them in water for a few minutes.

a good test for if they are ready: spin the egg. If it spins like a top, it's ready. if it wobbles and falls over, it needs to be boiled more.

  27. It is strait-forward but not as obvious as some of the answers below.  To get them right every time (no grey on the yolk) simply do the following:

-place eggs in large pot as not to overcrowd

-fill with COLD water so that it covers the eggs by 1" (by 1/2 an index finger)

-bring pot to a boil (uncovered)

-as soon  as it starts to rolling boil, remove from heat and cover for 15 minutes

-if you want them to peel off in as large of a shell piece as possible, run eggs under cold water before peeling

  28. you get a pan,

fill it up with water(not all full, just like 75% full)

get however many eggs you want

    put them in the pan

wait about 15-20 min untill the eggs start getting bubbly

let them cool down and remove the water from  the pan

after you just peel he egg skin off

  29. I just put how many I want in a pot, than fill it almost to the top, than boil them for about 15-30mins., putting a pinch of salt or two in the water after the first 5. My aunt and mom says thats too long to boil an egg, but it comes out perfect.
