I have removed the screened-in porch on my sub, and gone to just an open-air patio. Built a little wooden deck ahead of the conn tower, and it is just great on summer evenings.

the screen door is on the stove ,I think there is one in the galley too.

Unless you are in McHales Navy, you don't have a screen door on a sub.

That would be great.  Afterall, houses that have screen doors also have a regular door.  A screen door over an open hatch would have been awesome at some ports where the mosquitos and gnats were thick.
