  1. Nature will heal it for you hun, all you have to do is rest, perhaps use pain relief, more rest. That's all you can do. Hydro therapy bath devices can also help strained muscles. Perhaps if this is an on going problem, you could ask you parents to buy one for you.

They could use it too, as it's not just for strained muscles, they are used to relax & pamper yourself. I'm quite sure your mother could do with a pamper now & again.

Good Luck. I hope it heals soon. X :-)

  2. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but if you want it to heal properly you have to rest it.  The ice is a good idea, but I'm not sure about the Ben-g*y.  Talk to your doctor about it.  If the muscle itself is strained then you may be able to use Ben-g*y or Icy Hot or some other type of muscle liniment, but if the tendons or ligaments are strained you don't want to use that stuff.  Also, you have to be very careful when you stretch it.  If it hurts, you're doing more harm than good.  You may be able to stretch it a little, but you may have to avoid stretching altogether until it has healed.  For now, stay off it as much as you can.  Good luck, and best wishes for a speedy recovery...
