I have never even touched a ball before. What are the basics (how to hold hands, steps to take, etc.)?

  1. make a fist with one hand and cup you other hand around it with your thumbs pointing outward together. thats all i remember from phys ed

  2. still baby

  3. big left step and tiny right left step swing your hands back and jump now to hit the ball bring your hand back to your ear and swing

  4. to pass: hold out both your arms with your elbows sraight

rest your fingers or your right hand on those of your left

put your thumbs right next to each other

try to hit the ball in the area between your wrists and elbow

DO NOT BEND YOUR ELBOWS WHEN YOU HIT THE BALL

to set:  bring your arms above your head

bend your elbows the slightest bit

hit the ball almost straight into the air, and high up

try not to hit with the very tips of your fingers, and keep your fingers stiff

to serve:  if you are right handed:

start with the ball in your left hand, and your right foot foward

toss the ball high, right in front of you, as you do this, step foward with your left foot

keep your fingers tight together, and smack the ball with all your might

when your hand comes into contact with the ball, your elbow should be straight

remember to follow through with the hit; after you hit the ball, your arm should continue swinging until you hit your leg( you don't have to hit your leg, but it helps in reminding to swing through)

                       hope i helped! : )

  5. When you have a set coming towards you... HERE IS WHAT TO  DO. You have to go left-right-left with your feet and then pound the ground hard on the last step to get power. Put your arm up open your hand and POUND THE BALL. Good luck. Remember to leave to hit when the ball leaves the setter's hands.

  6. put the ball in the palm of your left hand [if you are right handed] toss it in the air and spike it with yor right hand to serve.

try finding one of those books thats like volleyball for dummies.

    thats what i did :]
