How do you hit the baseball harder with really good contact?

I am hitting the ball hard it is my contact how do i hit the baseball really hard and make good contact?

I know everybody says it but "keeping your eye on the ball" and watching the bat head come through the ball on contact while you're hitting it helped me a lot.

If you look at the contrast between MLB power hitters, you’ll see skinny, fat, muscular and average builds. The one thing they have in common is BAT SPEED. In order to increase bat speed you need to increase both your upper and lower body strenght.

1) Strong legs (not everyone with leg strength has speed) are just as important in relation to power as the upper body. Try hitting a ball sitting down to see how important the legs are.

2) Swing through the ball, don’t just meet it. Rotate your hips so that your belt buckle is facing the pitcher on follow through.

3) Don’t try to “kill” the ball, try to hit doubles.

Flexibility, mechanics, and a wood bat will get you on your way to becoming a better hitter. Now before you look away from this let me explain. I can bet good money that you are not as flexible as a gymnast so until you are you have not done your job on making yourself flexible, which will make it easier for your body to move when you hit the ball and run the bases.

Now for mechanics, you have to video tape your hitting mechanics and learn where you are making errors in the hitting motion. Watch video of how Major League ballplayers hit the ball (go to www.mlb.com or www.youtube.com or google search "MLB First Year Player Draft") and take the quality basics of their mechanics in the videos and apply it to how you hit the baseball. well, i learned that its your top hand that leads to the ball and the bottom hand that gives you power. if u want more contact, just keep your head on the ball.
