I've bought a dizi - Chinese bamboo flute, and I want to learn how to play it. I can play the lower octave with no problem (I've played wooden flutes before) but I can't figure out how to play the higher octaves... From what little info I've found on the internet, it says that it's not the matter of blowing harder, but finding the right angle of blowing. Could it be that I haven't put the membrane of the mo kong properly? The flute makes a decent enough sound, but I don't know if it's the right kind of sound...
