I'm doing a trial run as a waitress really soon and I'm guessing it'd be useful to know how to hold three plates in one hand and still be able to serve. Thanks for any help!

  1. balance. and practice....and being able to withstand very hot plates. its hard...but you can eventually work up to it

  2. Balance them all the way up your arm.

  3. Well dear. I am an experienced waitress, and if you're working somewhere that even allows you to practice this (most restaurants don't) You balance one in between your forearm, and wrist, and hold one in the hand of that arm, and then one plate goes in the other hand. Of course most restaurants have trays for this, and you hold them above your head. Scary at first, but you'll get the hang of it, and be running food like a pro in no time. Of course you will drop if a time or two along the way, even pros do it, just move on. You can make really good money being a good waitress, and it's the most fun I've had in my whole life. Have fun! Don't worry you'll get the hang of it! Good luck!

  4. Hold one between your finger and thumb, balance the second on the flat area at the base of your thumb, and balance the third on your forearm with the edge of the plate just touching the crook of your elbow. It just takes practice. Good luck!

  5. Balance them very carefully on your arm

    PRACTICE!!!!

  6. one on your left for arm the other two both in your left Palm (your Palm spread fully out) and use your thumb to pinch the 2 plates together also id you feel them falling or out of balance you can use your abdominal for support

  7. In theory, bend your arm so that your forearm is parallel to the ground. Then you stack the plates in a "flower formation". One goes in the crook of your elbow and  *palm up* against your body, the other one on your wrist, and the last one in your hand. the palm of the arm (usually the left) should face up so that the plates can balance on the flat side of your arm. Hope this helps.
