  1. There's an hose attachment that hangs down from the underside of the bbq. You s***w that into the propane tank so that when you twist the k**b to turn it on, the gas will go into the burners to create the flames.

  2. Just s***w the hose into the tank. Its reverse threaded

  3. There are two styles out there. The older ones have an outside thread on the regulator connection on the bbq. It has a left hand thread that will attach to old or new style cylinders.

The newer ones have a large black nut with inside threads. These only fit on the newer cylinders. These operate a little differently than the older ones...

First of all make sure all of the controls on the bbq are turned off. Thread the connector onto the cylinder. It is a regular right handed thread. When you go to open the cylinder valve, you must do this very slowly. There is an excess flow valve built into these tank connectors that sense the flow of propane. If you crank the valve on too quickly, the valve falsely thinks there is a ruptured hose or something and it severely restricts the flow of gas. If you ever light the bbq and only get a very low flame, this is what has happened to you. If it does, just start over. Disconnect the tank...make sure the valves are off, reconnnect the tank and SLOWLY open the valve.

One other thing I will mention here...always open the lid of the bbq before you light it!
